One of the best parts about living in Miami is the fact that if I need a little getaway, I can hop into the car and go north or south and hit a great spot. Whether it’s 15 mins to Miami Beach, an hour and a half to the Florida keys or 3 hours to Orlando, you’ve got some of the best places to choose from. So when Universal Orlando Resort invited me to check out their new hotel, the Universal Aventura Hotel, it was a sign that a little getaway was way overdue 😉
If you’ve been to one of the Universal Orlando Resorts you know they’re awesome! You have, Loews Portofino Bay Hotel which has a very Italian feel to it, the Hard Rock Hotel, that’s all about Rock and Roll, the South Seas with a total island vibe,  Cabana Bay Beach Resort that literally teleports you back to the 50s, and the Loews Sapphire Falls Resort which is all about that relaxed Caribbean lifestyle.
But now they’ve welcomed Universal’s Aventura Hotel, which brings everything to a whole new level. When I first walked through the doors, I absolutely loved the vibe. The Aventura Hotel is the epitome of modern and sleek! I mean just look at the pictures!!!

Everything was so pristine and clean, the employees were super friendly and helpful, the room was just…. WOW!!! They were kind enough to book me on the 16th floor, which meant I got an incredible view! I could see all of Volcano Bay, in the distance I could even see Disney, and the best part was at night I could just chill and watch the park’s beautiful firework spectacular right from my bed! It was amazing! I think one of the coolest parts about it all, was the in-room tablets each guest has. So here’s how it works, each guest has a tablet in their room that is for controlling things like the A/C, TV, radio, lights, etc! Talk about tech savvy! Check it out on my instagram stories!
My two favorite things about the hotel had to be the Urban Pantry and the Rooftop bar, Bar 17 Bistro! The food at Urban Pantry was DELICIOUS! The first day we had this yummy homemade pizza loaded with veggies and devoured it! I’m surprised I even got a photo. The second day, we got the most mouth watering stir fry, but I’ll talk about that little later.
Let’s first talk about theme park style. Let’s be honest, it’s hot, you want to be in something SUPER light and non-fussy, yet cute enough in case you want to snap a few photos. On day one, I decided to go for a thin body suit, with a mini flowy skort and my superga sneakers. The second day, I opted for a crop top and my favorite vintage shorts. Both outfits were perfect, they kept me feeling as fresh as you can feel in 95 degree weather, and were also super cute for picture taking! Oh yeah, and if you need to carry around some essentials a lightweight backpack is a must.

After a day at the parks, we would come back exhausted and honestly just wanted to relax and enjoy the hotel. Â So we went back to the Urban Pantry and tried the noodle station… guys…this was the most incredible dish ever!!!! I’m still dreaming about these stir fry noodles! SO GOOD!!!
We need to discuss this rooftop bar! It’s actually Universal Orlando Resort’s first ever rooftop bar and grill, and they totally outdid themselves! You get a 360 view of Universal Orlando Resort. It is the perfect spot to relax after a long day at the theme parks or even to get your night started with some drinks and food before heading out to Halloween Horror Nights!
I couldn’t have asked for a better stay! It was simply a blast! Usually when I go to Orlando or even to other destinations, I find that I don’t take advantage of everything the hotel has to offer because I’m always on the go. But this time, I did the complete opposite and took major advantage to enjoy everything about this hotel! Next time you guys visit Orlando, definitely check out Universal’s Aventura Hotel… and do me a favor…. bring me back some stir fry noddles 😉
