Malibu Fields

SHOP THE POST

What I love about living in a new place is discovering those unexpected spots that turn out to be one of the absolute best!! A week or so ago, my mom and I were driving around Malibu looking for this specific beach I heard of, Little Dume. While on the hunt for it, we came across something even better. Out of nowhere, we drove up  this incredible cliff full of blooming white and yellow flowers overlooking the ocean!!! Guys I literally almost jumped out of the car and started running through the fields! All I could say was, “This is what dreams are mades of!” cue the Lizze McGuire movie! These pictures really don’t do this Malibu spot justice so of course I took a video which I will post soon!  By the way, we finally did arrive to Little Dune and it did not disappoint!! Pictures of this will be coming soon as well!

Now, I was little bummed that my top said New York instead of Malibu, but we’ll ignore that little fact, because it matched the flowers ;)! What I do love about this top is the rich mustard color! A little tip for you…. Typically a deep yellow/mustard/orange hue like this can trick the eye and make you look tanner! So if you still haven’t been able to catch some rays recently, here’s the perfect solution! It’s all about finding the perfect shade for your skin tone! I’ve listed some pretty colors in the widget above, make sure to check it out! Because it was a casual beach day, I had my favorite levis on, my new sunnies and a cozy cardigan. I’ll be making an LA guide soon (hence the video I mentioned) and you better believe this dreamy spot will be making an appearance! So keep an eye out!

Hope you all have a great week!!! 🙂

That is the best spot ever, isn’t it?! It’s so beautiful, and I love that your top color matches the flowers. Anything that inspires a song from Lizzie McGuire is perfect in my book, LOL.
